SAN ANTONIO — The Spurs will finally have the services of guard De'Aaron Fox as he is slated to make his season debut Saturday, sources say.
Fox has been rehabbing from an offseason hamstring injury and has "ramped up this week for his weekend debut," NBA insider Shams Charania said on X.
Fox played 17 games for the Spurs last year after being traded from the Sacramento Kings at the trade deadline. He averaged 19.7 points, 6.8 assists and 4.3 rebounds in his limited sample size in Silver & Black. In March he was sidelined for the rest of the season with a finger injury.
His return comes a few days after rookie Dylan Harper was ruled out for "multiple weeks" with a left calf strain. Fortunately, the Spurs won't be without a left-handed point guard for long as Fox makes his return.
