ELKHART, Ind. (WNDU) - The Guidance Ministries in Elkhart offer services to the community like homeless services and a food pantry.

We’re approaching the winter season, but the building’s boiler is broken and needs to be replaced.

Guidance Ministries provide around 80 meals a day and services for about 50 people who’re experiencing homelessness.

The co-founder of the organization says the 17-year-old boiler has been leaking and rusting and needs to be completely replaced.

It offers heating for the entire building and without it the ministry says it would not be able to hold Christmas events and reach outs.

We are entering the Christmas outreach season and Thanksgiving, and the ministry is concerned that they will not be able to use the whole building.
