GARLAND COUNTY, Ark. – Garland County authorities said they arrested a man for allegedly impersonating a first responder on the highway.
Officials with the Garland County Sheriff’s Office said they arrested 77-year-old Lynn McCarty for second-degree criminal impersonation.
On Thursday, GCSO officials said they were told that someone driving a grey Toyota truck with flashing blue lights was driving westbound on Highway 270.
According to the GCSO, video captured by a witness showed the truck driving with the blue lights on, causing drivers to move over to the right lane.
Deputies later found the truck in the 100 block of Fairwood Circle and spoke with the driver and owner of the truck, McCarty.
