NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Homelessness doesn't just impact adults—it's something that children have to process as well. Now, one local library branch is helping kids do just that.
The Thompson Lane branch of the Nashville Public Library said the Woodbine area has issues with homelessness, which is why they felt it was so important to address with kids in the neighborhood.
A new collection on the subject consists of 16 books that contain age-appropriate approaches to the topic of homelessness.
Curator Klem-Mari Cajigas highlighted three to News 2: "A Place for Us" by James Ransome, "A Know How to Draw an Owl" by Hilary Horder Hippely, and "Dear Librarian" by Lydia Sygwarth.
NPL representatives said these collections are a great way for children to learn about one specific subject. They
