Rochester, N.Y. (WROC) — Dr. Bill Valenti remembers the day and moment he realized just how bad the AIDS epidemic would become.

Having been an epidemiologist for Strong Memorial Hospital for more than a decade, Valent co-founded Community Health Network in 1989 to help those suffering from the disease.

That organization would eventually morph into Trillium Health, which offers an array of health care services throughout our area.

Today, Dr. Valenit sat down with Adam Chodak to talk about his decision to step down more than 35 years after Trillium took root.
