Swanson youth inmate accused of using shank to stab other inmate in head, body

MONROE, La. (KNOE) - The Office of Juvenile Justice arrested a Swanson Youth Center inmate who is accused of stabbing another inmate with a shank.

The OJJ arrested Elmo Duncan, 19, on Nov. 6, on one count of attempted second-degree murder.

According to arrested records, Duncan is accused of using a shank to stab another inmate multiple times in the head and body.

OJJ said the injured inmate was taken to a local hospital for emergency treatment.
