SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Notre Dame will host Navy on Saturday night in the first-ever night game between the two teams in South Bend.
The Fighting Irish are coming off a 25-10 win over Boston College , while Navy suffered its first loss of the season last weekend to North Texas, ending a seven-game winning streak.
The rivalry between Notre Dame and Navy traces back to 1941, when the Navy established a training center on Notre Dame’s campus during World War II. The partnership provided crucial financial support when Notre Dame faced severe enrollment and financial difficulties.
