A 16-year-old boy will stand trial in connection with a double homicide in Pitcairn in June.
Defense attorney Casey White said he will move to have 16-year-old Jamon Brookins’ case moved to juvenile court.
Jamon is accused of shooting two other 16-year-old boys in what’s been characterized as a gun sale gone wrong: Isiah McCarthy and Tyrant Sutton.
The incident happened midafternoon June 26 when Jamon accompanied his cousin and her friend, both juveniles, to buy a gun from the two other boys in Shaw Alley. Jamon told detectives he believed he was asked to come along because the girls thought they might be robbed.
