Smith, Woodland Hills’ do-everything dynamo, returned the opening kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown, but Upper St. Clair kept him under control for much of the game en route to a 36-26 victory on Friday night at the Wolvarena in the WPIAL Class 5A quarterfinals.
After third-seeded Woodland Hills jumped out to a 14-0 lead, No. 6 Upper St. Clair scored 33 unanswered points to take control and book their ticket to the semifinals.
