A 15-year-old girl from New Jersey was sexually assaulted and kidnapped after she took a car service to New York City to meet a man who is a convicted sex offender, authorities said.

The NYPD charged William Credle, 24, of the Bronx with rape, unlawful imprisonment, assault, sexual abuse and harassment, according to an email to NJ Advance Media.

The NYPD declined to say where in New Jersey the girl lives or from where she traveled.

After chatting online, man paid for the teen to take a car service to his Bronx apartment around 11:30 p.m. Monday, the New York Daily News reported.

Credle then allegedly sexually assaulted the girl despite her pleas for him to stop. He refused to let her leave the apartment and later he sexually assaulted her again and punched her in the head, the report
