TAYLORSVILLE — A child was injured Friday in a shooting that also prompted Granite School District administrators to issue safety protocols at six nearby schools.
Taylorsville police said emergency dispatchers received several calls shortly after noon, reporting a fight among juveniles in a parking lot near 5600 South and Redwood Road.
Information about what prompted the fight and eventual shooting was not immediately available, but Taylorsville police officer Jordan Lenz said the child's injury is not considered life-threatening.
