HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WSMV) - A K-9 with a Midstate sheriff’s office was able to locate a wanted suspect after a crash in Henderson County led to a 48-hour manhunt.

The Stewart County Sheriff’s Office said that Henderson County requested help from SCSO’s K-9 unit for assistance in finding a wanted suspect on Wednesday, Nov. 5.

The search for the suspect began after a man and woman crashed on Natchez Trace State Forest on Monday, Nov. 3. SCSO said both were injured in the crash, but the man, who was driving at the time of the wreck, fled the scene.

As Henderson County police investigated the crash, they were unable to determine what injuries the man had sustained, but they did discover that he had warrants for his arrest.
