Throughout overtime of the America East field hockey tournament championship the University of Vermont female student athletes in the stands were heckling New Hampshire's forward Tasmin Cookman. The senior who had been a catalyst for the Wildcats offense found a way to silence them.
Less than two minutes into double overtime, Cookman drove the ball into the circle and launched a shot. The Wildcats leading scorer Nicole Poulakis redirected the shot over a diving Merle Vaandrager into the goal for her 23rd goal of the 2025 season.
