A new business that popped up this week on Chicago's lakefront offers a new way to heat up in the frigid winter.

Oak Street Sauna opened this week at the city's Oak Street Beach, located at 1000 North DuSable Lake Shore Drive, the company announced in a social media post that went viral.

Situated alongside the lakefront path just south of Whispers, the shipping-container-turned-sauna business venture allows people to book private and social sweat sessions.

"Social reservations," or renting a seat in the sauna, cost $40 for an hour and 15 minute session.

The entire sauna can be booked with a two-hour private reservation for $400. Private reservations allow for up to 12 people to use the sauna at a time.
