SALT LAKE CITY – The Hercules Salt Lake County High School Player of the Week is celebrating the best high school football player in Salt Lake County. Presented by Hercules First Federal Credit Union , each week we honor athletes for their exceptional performance on the gridiron. Salt Lake County Player of the Week – Tyler Messer, Herriman

Messer and the Herriman Mustangs took on Weber High School last week in the second round of the 6A Playoffs. After Weber took an early 3-0 lead, the Mustangs offense came alive as they reeled off 42 unanswered points as Messer threw, ran for and caught a touchdown in sequential order during the run as they carried a 42-16 lead into halftime.
