ALBERT LEA, Minn. - A unique kind of health clinic is coming to Albert Lea in 2026. This "HELPCare" clinic will mark the third in Minnesota, with the other two being in Austin and Rochester.
The clinic is a direct primary care office. This means that the patient pays directly, instead of using an insurance company.
Albert Lea has seen many healthcare clinics come and go, but Lee Aase, the administrator for "HELPCare" believes that this one will be different. "We came to Albert Lea because there's a big appetite in Albert Lea for primary care," said Aase.
Aase also says that he believes this clinic will be strong and be able to last in Albert Lea as long as there are people who want to be part of it.
