COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — The Idaho Attorney General will not file charges against Kootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris after an investigation into the alleged battery of a woman who was dragged from a town hall event in February .

The AG's office says it was asked to investigate the incident after several people submitted complaints about the meeting, hosted by the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee (KCRCC). The complaints allege that the sheriff committed battery when he physically removed a woman, Teresa Borrenpohl, because she was allegedly disrupting the event.
