RUTLAND, Vt. (WCAX) - Child care services are expanding in Southern Vermont thanks to a new grant.

The Rutland County Parent-Child Center was awarded $900,000 through the William and Dorothy O’Neill Foundation .

The money will fund the Families at the Center program for at least the next three years.

The program connects local families with community resources, like mental health care, housing and state agencies, something organizers say makes the process more simple when child care needs are high throughout the state.
