Habs fans are kind of nutty.
We like to say they are the most knowledgeable hockey fans on the planet and there is some truth to that. The folks in the stands at the Bell Centre often understand the rules better than the referees.
But, man, can they sometimes be crazy. There’s intense fandom and there’s the psychotic kind. I was thinking about this Tuesday sitting in the Canadiens barn watching that wild Canadiens-Flyers game that was 3-0 Philadelphia after only six shots in the first period, then flipped to 4-3 for the Good Guys after Montreal scored four unanswered goals, and ended up 5-4 for Philly with Cole Caufield’s bestie Trevor Zegras scoring the shootout winner.
