1Loaded firearm leads to arrest during traffic stop in Stafford

Stafford, VA – A 20-year-old man was arrested early Friday morning after a routine traffic stop uncovered a loaded, concealed firearm inside his vehicle.

Deputy D.S. Jett initiated a traffic stop around 2:49 a.m. on Stafford Avenue for a vehicle not displaying a front license plate. Deputy K.F. Shifflett responded to assist with the investigation.

During the stop, the driver admitted there was a firearm in the vehicle. A search confirmed the presence of a loaded, concealed weapon.

The driver, identified as Prince Squire of Stafford, was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed firearm. He is being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail on a secured bond.
