POLAND, Ohio (WKBN) - Close to 30 people gathered at the Poland Library branch for a tour Friday morning, some of them seeing its deteriorating condition for the very first time.
Library chief operating officer Jordan Shaver encouraged those in attendance to ask questions and create an open dialogue.
Among the group were Poland residents, members of the "Save Our Library" group, library board members and local, state and federal elected leaders--and many of them had questions.
"I came here on this tour and the first thing that I thought is, 'this is an amazing building.' It is a jewel of our community. It would be a loss to our community to lose this," said Ohio Senator Al Cutrona.
Many worry that's exactly what will happen.
Library officials say they've already spent more than $250,0
