WALKER COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) -- Three people of pleaded guilty in a case connected to the death of Anthony "Tony" Mitchell in 2023.

Heather Craig, Braxton Kee and Karen Kelly all pleaded guilty to charges of deprivation of rights under color of law on Friday. According to court documents, each individual will remain on their previous bonds.

Mitchell died on Jan. 26, 2023, at a hospital two weeks after being arrested and held in the Walker County Jail. Walker County Coroner Joey Vick stated that Mitchell's death was the result of "medical neglect."
