DALLAS TOWNSHIP — Luzerne County Children, Youth, & Families (CYF) held its 32nd Annual Adoption Celebration on Friday.

At the event, CYF staff, elected officials, foster parents, and Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network (SWAN) representatives gathered to recognize 58 children who were adopted by 43 families over the past year.

Among the 58 children were babies born with a dependence on drugs or alcohol, or victims of neglect or abuse.

Friday was celebratory for the children and their new families, and the environment was made as family-friendly as possible by the CYF staff, organizers said. AppleTree Terrace at Newberry Estates hosted the celebration.
