CARBONDALE — Everyone needs a little help now and then, and Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Thanks “GivingBack” food drive offers the opportunity to help Salukis in need this holiday season.

Faculty, staff and community members are invited to donate nonperishable food items for the Saluki Food Pantry, which has served thousands of students and their families since it opened in August 2016, on Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donation drop-offs can be made in the first floor cross halls of the Student Center, near the University Bookstore. Those who are unable to drop off donations are encouraged to email foodpantry@siu.edu to make other arrangements.
