Veteran Labor powerbroker and Sky News contributor Graham Richardson has passed aged 76.

Mr Richardson was a senior cabinet minister in the Hawke and Keating governments, a husband, a father, and a contributor for 15 years at Sky News Australia.

Sky News Australia CEO Paul Whittaker said "Richo" was one of the sharpest political minds in Australian politics.
