FARGO — Fargo's freshly named plows are ready to roll whenever the weather turns.

The city unveiled new wraps for six of its motor graders, featuring winning entries from this year’s “Name a Plow” contest, such as "Teddy Snowsevelt," "Betty Whiteout" and "Wheeler Snow Peeler."

Public Works Operations Director Ben Dow says they’ve now moved all of their winter equipment out from their storage sheds.

He thinks coming off of two relatively mild winters has been an advantage, giving new staff time to train and prepare.

“After a hard snow winter and we battle all winter. If we have another one the next winter, we're a little run down still, so we kind of re energize our batteries here and we're ready to go,” Dow said.
