HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A weak cold front is set to move over the island chain this weekend, increasing the chance for rainfall and showers. The front is set to arrive and move over the western half of the state on Saturday. Kauai and Oahu can expect rainfall starting midday Saturday, and showers will continue through the evening.

The front will continue to slide down the island chain to Maui County and Hawaii Island on Sunday. Due to the orientation of the front, the showers will mostly be focused over windward Hawaii Island. Windward slopes of each island will see a bulk of the rainfall, but a few showers may move leeward.
