Lane closed as crews repair 16-inch water main break in Windward Oahu

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Crews from the Board of Water Supply are repairing a 16-inch transmission main in Kaneohe.

BWS said the line below Paleka Road burst at around 5:15 p.m. Friday, before Kamehameha Highway.

Drivers on Kamehameha Highway will not be able to turn on Paleka Road, which is closed in one lane as crews make repairs.

Officials said 12 homes are without water.

BWS said an alternate water supply will be provided if needed, and asks that the public bring their own containers to fill.
