HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - For Wehiwa Aloy, 2025 has been nothing short of magical.
SEC Player of the Year, a deep run in the College World Series semifinals, and the only Hawaii native to win the Golden Spikes award.
To top it off, Aloy was the 31st overall draft pick by the Baltimore Orioles.
“It’s been very busy. I had to report to Baltimore as soon as two days after I got drafted and so I went down there did all the signing stuff then headed to Florida to go train and finish out the season with Delmarva in Maryland.”
Aloy credits the Delmarva Shorebirds, Baltimore’s Single-A affiliate, for helping ease the transition to becoming a pro.
