WATERLOO, Iowa — The Archdiocese of Dubuque has instructed a local parish to relocate its services due to ongoing safety concerns.

Rev. Nils Hernandez informed parishioners that Queen of Peace Masses will be moved to Sacred Heart Parish starting this weekend.

Hernandez expressed concerns about the potential impact on safety and air quality if a substantial portion of the ceiling were to fall.

Queen of Peace has been conducting services in the basement since a partial collapse of the church ceiling in June.
