Canterbury supremo Phil Gould has revealed his club won’t be pursuing Gold Coast superstar Tino Fa’asuamaleaui.
Fa’asumaleaui, who is preparing for the third and final Ashes Test in the UK, has confirmed he will test the market for 2027 and could command as much as $1.5m a season.
The Perth Bears have already been linked heavily to the prop, along with the Melbourne Storm and Bulldogs.
However, according to Gould, the Dogs don’t have the salary cap space.
“Our roster and our salary cap are full, thanks,” Gould tweeted when asked about the potential signing of Fa’asuamaleaui.
