NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Tennessee has seen more cases of Measles in 2025 than in the last decade, with a case in Nashville marking the 8th in the state this year.
The CDC reports that Tennessee only had four Measles cases in all of last year, meaning the number of cases reported has doubled.
There have been seven other measles cases reported in Tennessee this year, according to data from the Tennessee Department of Health (TDOH).
TDOH data shows that three of them were in the region immediately surrounding Davidson County, which the state calls the Mid-Cumberland Region. It’s marked light-blue on this map.
