WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Fire crews in West Springfield responded to a house fire on Queen Avenue on Friday Afternoon.
Fire officials said they got the call just before 1 p.m. after smoke was seen coming from the house. First responders were thankfully nearby and was able to quickly put it out.
Western Mass News spoke with Assistant Fire Chief Michael Dickson on scene, who provided us with an update on the home’s owner, “no injuries, we did just a medical assessment on the homeowner and luckily she was out of the house when we showed up and she got her dogs out as well, so good day for West Springfield.”
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
