The roof of a bus has been ripped off after it hit a low bridge in a Greater Manchester town.
The Bee Network bus, operated by Go North West, collided with the bridge on Weston Street in Bolton at around 7.45pm this evening (Friday November 7). No passengers were on board at the time and the driver of the bus is understood not have suffered serious injuries.
The rail bridge, which is located in the Burnden area, south of Bolton town centre, is 3.7m high and clearly marked 'low bridge'.
According to Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM), the bus was being driven back to the depot at the time of the incident.
