DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - For over a decade, Northlanders have been finding new treasures at the Duluth Junk Hunt. This year, the organizer said it’s bigger than ever.
Emily Broman, organizer and founder, said it all began in 2012 with half a dozen vendors.
“My husband and I like vintage and antique things, and we just noticed that there wasn’t an event like this in Duluth,” she said. “We just thought that people of the Northland might kind of think it’s a fun idea.”
Now, the event brings in around 170 vendors and fills two rooms of the DECC.
“It’s fun to see people kind of have it on their calendar,” Broman said.
Jennifer Couillard has attended the Junk Hunt for years.
This year, she returned to the event but traded in her shopping bags.
