DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - With one in four women and one in seven men experiencing domestic violence, access to emergency help can be critical.

That’s why Essentia Health’s pharmacy team in Duluth recently organized a phone drive to support Safe Haven Shelter and Resource Center.

The drive collected 38 phones, which will be refurbished and turned into “911 phones.”

Even without an active service plan, these devices can still dial 911, offering a potentially life-saving lifeline for those in danger.
