FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - One person was hurt in a shooting on Fort Wayne’s south side Friday.

According to the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD), officers were called to the McDonald’s in the 7600 block of South Anthony Boulevard around 2:45 p.m.

When officers arrived on the scene, they say they found a man suffering from a single gunshot wound in the restaurant’s parking lot.

The man was transported to a local hospital in serious condition, and it was later determined that his injuries were non-life-threatening.

A woman was taken into police custody in connection with the shooting.

FWPD says early information indicates a confrontation happened between the man and woman in the restaurant’s drive-thru before the shooting occurred.

The shooting remains under investigation.
