PHOENIX (AZFamily/AP) — Gov. Katie Hobbs announced on Friday evening that Arizonans who need SNAP assistance should start getting full benefits for November.
Hobbs said she ordered the state Department of Economic Security to take “swift action.” The roughly 800,000 Arizonans on SNAP should start receiving money on their EBT cards beginning Friday.
DES will resume its regular schedule of issuing the money so recipients should see their full benefits for the month being loaded onto their card during the coming days.
In a written statement, Hobbs thanked state workers for making the SNAP funding possible.
“It shouldn’t take a court order for politicians in Washington, DC to do the right thing for Arizona families, but I am glad that this much-needed relief will be delivered to Arizonans
