SPOKANE, Wash. -- A woman who shot a man in Spokane earlier this year has been sentenced to nearly eight years in prison.
24-year-old Trinity H. Christenson was sentenced to 93 months in prison for first-degree assault on Friday. The charges stem from a shooting that happened on July 18 in front of a building on East Central Avenue near Division Street.
The Spokane County Prosecutor's Office says Christenson went to the building and approached a man that she says was drawing pictures and writing about wanting to be with her on buildings and dumpsters and in notebooks and papers.
Christenson shot the man in the neck and left. The man was taken to the hospital and survived.
On Friday, Christenson pleaded guilty to the assault charge. She was also given 36 months of community service.
