CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Chesapeake police are searching for a suspect they are tying to a bank robbery, marking the third one in the past 10 days in Hampton Roads.
Chesapeake police said they were called to the Southern Bank in the 3300 block of Western Branch Boulevard around 10:15 a.m. They didn't provide further details about what occurred at the bank, but they said the suspect is a Black man who fled on foot. Police said they are not sure which direction he may have gone.

Two other bank robberies were carried out in Newport News in the past 10 days. Only one of them so far has resulted in an arrest.
