DEFOREST— The Spillner family is mourning the loss of Ariel Spillner.

The 26-year-old died in Milwaukee after being shot.

The Milwaukee Police Department says a 31-year-old woman shot Spillner on Milwaukee's north side. Spillner died at the scene, while the suspect is expected to survive. No charges have been filed at this time.

"I now have to kind of go on living my life without my sister," said Courtney Spillner.
