Maya Nuwayhid poured it on for third-seeded Pingry, No. 11 in the NJ.com Top 20, with a career-high six goals in its 8-0 shutout against sixth-seeded Paramus Catholic in the quarterfinal round of the North Jersey, Non-Public A Tournament in Martinsville.
With the victory, Pingry recorded its eighth shutout of the season.
Pingry ends a four-game losing streak with the shutout and records its first win since blanking Immaculata 5-0 on Oct. 18 in the semifinal round of the Somerset County Tournament.
Leading 6-0 after halftime, Pingry tallied two more goals to extend its advantage against Paramus Catholic.
Ella Royster and Sydney Ellsworth each scored a goal for Pingry.
Paramus Catholic ends its season with a 12-8 record.
