The Washington Commanders have determined that quarterback Jayden Daniels won’t require surgery to repair his dislocated his left elbow, Coach Dan Quinn said Friday. Quinn added that the Commanders will reevaluate Daniels after their Week 12 bye. That means the second-year player could return as soon as Week 13.

“I think it was good process to go through — like all the players do — getting second opinions and getting all of the information of what to do and how to do it,” Quinn said Friday. “Dr. [Christopher] Annunziata ran point on that with consulting all the people — and Jayden was involved in with that as well. It’s a good deal with no surgery. Obviously, that makes a big difference. … I hope to give you guys an update after the bye week about where he is and where we go from there.”
