Trey Kaufman-Renn has missed the first two games of Purdue's season after suffering a hip injury Monday.

Kaufman-Renn's presence was clearly missed in the rebounding department.

WEST LAFAYETTE — Trey Kaufman-Renn 's return to Purdue men’s basketball ’s lineup remains up in the air.

Boilermakers coach Matt Painter said after an 87-77 victory over Oakland that his star forward did not go through a full walk through Friday afternoon. He also had been limited to non-contact work the past two days.

Painter said an X-ray on Wednesday came back negative. He also said he thought Kaufman-Renn underwent an MRI prior to Friday’s game. He had not heard any results yet, which he took as at least an absence of bad news.
