LINDSIDE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Class AA No. 9 James Monroe Mavericks closed out their regular season in convincing fashion Friday night, defeating the Class A No. 7 Tug Valley Panthers 49-6 at home.

The Mavericks controlled the game from the start, using a balanced offensive attack and a stingy defense to build an early lead and never look back. Tug Valley managed a late score but couldn’t slow down James Monroe’s momentum.

With the victory, James Monroe finishes the regular season at 7-3 and enters the postseason on a high note. Tug Valley wraps up its campaign at 6-4 after a strong season in Class A competition.
