BROOK PARK, Ohio -- A drunk Elyria man, 52, was arrested at about 1:30 p.m. Oct. 21 after police found him lying in a Thompson Boulevard front yard.
Police were called to Thompson about a man, later identified as the Elyria man, running down the street with a friend following him.
When police arrived, the man was lying in the front yard. Paramedics were trying to stand him up and walk him to an ambulance.
The man started arguing with paramedics. Paramedics told the man, “Let’s go.”
The man responded, “Let’s slow it down.”
The man then dropped to his hands and knees. He grabbed the grass with his fists.
As police attempted to get the man to stand, he clenched both fists and appeared ready to fight.
The man was kneeling when police pushed him back to the ground. Police smelled alcohol
