DUNCANNON — Steelton-Highspire football made history Friday night.
The No. 1 Rollers dominated from start to finish in its District 3 Class 2A championship matchup with No. 2 Halifax, securing a 52-13 victory in the process.
As of right now, the Rollers have tied Bishop McDevitt and Manheim Central for the most all-time District 3 titles with 18. Steel-High also joins McDevitt and Manheim Central as the only programs to win six consecutive District 3 championships.
“This is a testament to our coaching staff, players, community and teachers,” said Steel-High head coach Alex Erby. “Our kids came out and played wonderfully. It’s always a great thing when all the hard work (pays off).”
The Rollers captured No. 18 thanks to a strong performance on the ground from running back tandem Jerome
