PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A woman is fighting for her life, and a man is also in the hospital after a driver hit them with a car on Friday night in central Phoenix.

It happened in the area of 27th and Glendale avenues just after 8 p.m.

Officers said they’ve talked to several people and stopped a driver nearby to try and identify the car involved.

While the woman has life-threatening injuries, the man should survive, police said. The intersection will be shut down for hours.

Police didn’t say if the victims were in the crosswalk.
