WASHINGTON — The Mega Millions jackpot jumped to $843 million for Friday's drawing after no ticket matched all six numbers Tuesday night.

Friday's drawing had $843 million on the line, the eighth largest in the history of the game, with a cash option of $391.7 million.

Tickets that match five white balls can win between $1 million and $10 million. The jackpot has been growing since it was last won at $348 million in Virginia on June 27. It’s the longest streak without a jackpot winner since the game began in 2002.
