The Kerala High Court said on Friday that an unmarried daughter following Christianity cannot claim maintenance from her father. The court clarified that there is no such provision in Christian Personal Law. Whereas, such a right exists in Muslim Personal Law and the Hindu Adoptions and Maintenance Act (HAMA).
